Warranty

Every Consculpt piece is individually handcrafted, and we stand behind the quality of our workmanship.

Consculpt warrants our products for a period of two years from the original date of purchase. Proof of purchase may be required within any warranty process undertaken during this time. We warrant that the product will not have any manufacturing defects provided it has been installed properly and cared for correctly.

The natural character of concrete

Consculpt products are made from a natural material. Each one has its own unique look and style and there will be some colour variation, pinholing (small surface holes) and general surface variation. These characteristics have no influence on the structural integrity of the piece and are not considered manufacturing defects.

Warranty responsibility

Consculpt is not responsible for costs associated with labour or installation charges, removal of the existing product or other expenses associated with a defective product. Consculpt’s sole responsibility is replacement or repair of a defective product.

Construction

Our concrete basins, benchtops and other products are created in moulds. When each Consculpt product is removed from the mould it may have some pinholes, along with other voids and discolourations. These are not considered manufacturing defects; they are part of the natural appearance of the concrete product.

This warranty applies only to products that are permanently installed and that have not been moved from their original installation.

Voids and cut-out areas can be weak points and may be susceptible to small cracks. These are not deemed manufacturing defects. Due to the reinforcing used, such cracks are aesthetic rather than structural.

Colour and appearance

The colour, feel and aesthetic of Consculpt products can look different in photographs and on screens. We recommend purchasing colour samples or inspecting physical samples prior to manufacture so you can be comfortable with your final selection.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover chipping or pinholes occurring during fabrication or through ongoing use. Nor does it cover edge chipping, surface damage caused by wear and tear, cracking or discolouration due to the product being subjected to high heat, or damage caused by improper use.

The warranty does not cover mishandling or misuse, cracking around voids and cut-outs, damage from physical or chemical abuse, or damage from improper care and maintenance, including damage caused by cleaning with abrasive substances. This warranty does not cover scratches, stains or chemical damage.

This warranty does not cover installation failures to benchtops or cabinetry due to inadequate support or unlevel cabinetry. It does not cover seam appearance, seam performance or hairline cracking around cut-out areas on the product during or after installation.

This warranty does not cover the altering of any factory-applied finish. Nor does it cover additional modifications such as plumbing, electrical, tiles or cabinets that may be necessary to repair or replace the product under this warranty.

This warranty does not cover routine maintenance and minor conditions such as stains, acid etching, revealing of pinholes and water spots that may be a function and result of proper care and maintenance. Please refer to our Care Guide for ongoing care information.

Returns

Consculpt does not offer exchanges, replacement or refund for change of heart, or if a client has a personal aversion to the colour, amount of pinholes or surface variation of the product.

Consculpt may request that you supply the physical product for assessment to identify the cause of any defect, a process that may include high-resolution photography. Where the warranty claim is deemed valid, Consculpt will replace or repair the product if it falls within the warranty period and meets all conditions outlined on this page.

Your duty of care

You have a duty of care for the Consculpt product while it is in your possession. If you damage the product and subsequently return it, you may be liable for the cost of repairing and restoring the product to its original condition. Where a repair is not economically viable, no refund will be made.

If you believe there is an issue with your Consculpt product, please contact us with your proof of purchase, photographs and a description of the issue so we can assess it.
